exhibition calendar

Earlier this year the Community Arts Council invited submissions of work from recently graduated students of UCOL, for possible selection for a scholarship and exhibition.

As graduation often brings a feeling of “what-do-I-do-now?” the
Trustees felt it appropriate to fill the gap in some way.

All work was to be new or not previously exhibited, but could be in any medium.

From these entries two people were chosen as recipients of the scholarship, and their work will be shown in our up-coming exhibition called:
“Flying Start” from 10 to 24 January 2009.

The diversity and standard of work submitted made the judges’ decision extremely difficult, and all the entrants are to be commended for their abilities and style.

Eventual winners were Kate Lepper and Jack Michalski.

The two contrasting styles will make for an exciting exhibition by two very talented artists, so mark the dates on your calendar and be sure to visit us at 19 Taupo Quay to see for yourself.

Works will be for sale.
