wanganui community arts centre

was established in 1990 to provide a venue for local artists and craftspeople to exhibit and sell their work. Over the years we have exhibited everything from paintings to pottery, and installation to performance.

We pride ourselves on the high standard of our venue and the enthusiastic support we have from artists in our community.

SHOP
The retail shop is open 6½ days, manned entirely by volunteers. It is the only shop in Wanganui to sell exclusively local and New Zealand arts and crafts, with over 100 suppliers. Go to our shop section to find out more.

GALLERIES
We have two state of the art galleries in the centre. These show a variety of work from glass and ceramic, to painting, sculpture and photography. Anyone can book a show in the Art Centre, contact us for details. Go to our exhibition calendar link to see what's coming.

RIVER ROOM
This large and well equipped room overlooking the river is used by a number of groups for meetings, exhibition space and classes. Contact us if you'd like information about booking this space.
